Mapu Cabernet Sauvignon

An intense ruby red.  The very fresh and fruit-forward nose reveals red berry fruit aromas, especially raspberry, cherry and bilberry, mingled with notes of black pepper. The very fresh attack leads into a mid-palate sustained by gentle tannins as the red berry fruit flavors found on the nose return alongside delicate notes of spice. Good acidity on the well-balanced finish enhances the overall impression of freshness. Serve with rack of lamb, ribeye, grilled salmon steaks and goat’s cheese.

The wine is matured in vats for a relatively short period of around six months in order to preserve all its freshness and fruit. Cabernet Sauvignon gives balanced wines with well-rounded tannins and blackcurrant, pepper and liquorice flavors. Though the wine ages well, its freshness on the palate means that it can also be enjoyed young.
