An intense crimson colour. A fine expression of this lovely ‘Capitans’ terroir with highly complex aromas on the nose and palate – hints of flowers (peony), roasting, mocha and vanilla, fruit (blackberry), spices (pepper) and liquorice. Remarkably rich on the palate with powerful tannins and an opulent fleshiness, which should allow it to age with great elegance. Game, duck breast, fine cheeses. 100% Gamay.

The estate is surrounded by a one-piece vineyard which enjoys an excellent soil. Fermented at a temperature of 20-30°C. 100% malolactic fermentation and macerated for 8 to 10 days. Matures in oak for 20% of the production process.
