Calvet Merlot

An extremely deep garnet red. An expressive bouquet unveiling notes of red fruit, black currant and cherry. This wine has a very long finish revealing smooth and silky tannings.

Great with roasted poultry, fried tofu, salads and fine cheeses.

Available by the case. 6 per case.

The grapes are harvested when ripe, destemmed, crushed and then fermented for 6 to 12 days. The fermentation temperature is kept below    32°C and the wine is gently pressed. Lastly the wine is racked, filtered and bottled. The area offers a large range of different type of soil such as sand, clay-chalk and schist.
