Baron Phillipe Pinot Noir 2019
TT$160.16 – TT$768.77
A scintillating vermilion red with a slight crimson hue. The nose opens on succulent, jammy red fruit such as cherry, redcurrant and strawberry, followed with airing by a touch of vanilla and roasted coffee bean. From an elegant and fresh attack on jammy red fruit flavours, the mid-palate shows off the wine’s freshness and beautifully balanced tannins, which underpin a lingering finish extended by a touch of vanilla and mocha-style coffee. Enjoy with chicken biryani, beef carpaccio, lamb tagine.
Available by the case. 6 per case.
Description
Terroir is gravelly soil over a limestone base, red clay and sandstone soil. The grapes are destemmed and crushed. Alcoholic fermentation lasts for about six days at a temperature between 25°C and 30°C, followed by maceration for 15 days. Malolactic fermentation then takes place in vats.
The wines are matured for a short time in vats and quickly bottled at our Mouton Cadet winery so as to preserve all their freshness and fruit.
